Suranjan is responsible for cultivating and managing strategic client relationships, driving their growth, and ensuring success and satisfaction with the RxLogix Safety Platform by aligning policy, data, technology, and innovation.

Suranjan is a strategic and visionary leader with over 27 years of experience in regulatory science, pharmacovigilance, health informatics, and drug safety that spans across FDA, NIH, and the pharmaceutical industry. He is an expert in post-/pre-market safety surveillance, system and process modernization, artificial intelligence applications, data standards, and safety analytics. His career began at NIH with the National Cance Institute modernizing their clinical data management systems, followed by Merck (formerly Schering-Plough) where he supported Global PV Operations, optimizing processes and technologies. He then spent the last 12 years at FDA, where he led the modernization and operations of the FDA’s Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS), including the implementation of E2B (R3) standard, unification of adverse event and product quality into one integrated system and signal management; oversaw a data management program processing more than 2 million reports per year; represented FDA at IDMP, DIA and ICH; advised on the Sentinel program supporting Real World Evidence (RWE) using Real World Data (RWD); managed research portfolio and regulatory informatics initiatives; and directed safety data analytics projects using artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing for signal detection.

Suranjan’s extensive expertise in pharmacovigilance, regulatory policy, strategic planning, project management, and global leadership makes him a valuable addition to RxLogix. Based in the US, he will enhance client experiences, drive growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. His leadership and mentorship will be pivotal in advancing RxLogix commitment to excellence and innovation in the pharmacovigilance industry.

Suranjan holds Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Mumbai University, India; Master’s degree in Computer Science from Institute for Technology and Management, India; MBA from John’s Hopkins University, MD and Certificate in Pharmacoepidemiology from University of Pennsylvania, PA. He also has been a co-author of multiple publications.
